Storming of the 2...2's

Mr. Smithicus here...having been given the pleasure of a guest entry I will tell the tail of the storming Tutus.

The Tutus had a delayed entry into Jackson at approx. 2 AM. After catching up from a long time ago we decided it was a splendid idea to give thee DBR (Needleman) a call or a 'Skype' as it were. He is now located in Cape Town South Africa where it was 12 noon at the time and he was preparing for a lunch tea time and was 'busy'...or so he said, so we decided to distract him for a few moments. Turns out it was eventually 5 AM...Mieka had passed out on the couch while Heather and I rallied for the conversation with DBR, it was a true test of endurance. Rolling side to side in bed from the pouring rain this morning I awoke with a clatter from tres hours or so of sleep. Whipped up a nice little taters and eggs and promptly awoke the Tutus with a wonderful morning tune of Jadiohead...which if you are not familiar with, is a 10.7 (out of 10) on the awesome meter/scale. Heather did not have her awesome meter fully engaged this morning. After a few moments she eventually realized that I had food for her she was quick to recognize the amazingness of the music falling upon her ears and the tasty deliciousness she was about to consume. With an undefined mix of fascination and being overwhelmed by the tea selection the Tutus selected a blend of green tea ginger and rose buds. A few hours of lounging I had finally come do a decision of our itinerary for the day. It was a long drawn out process of me giving the Tutus unknown options and me finally coming to the decision of going to Jackson Peak. Now being the namesake peak of our town it was a good choice for the day. I sent the Tutus off on their way. They encountered a blue VW van by the name of Nona who had a rather mysterious driver and took them to the trail head. Along the way they discovered a dinosaur like piece of machinery known as a grader. This was quite intimidating for Nona, the Tutu's, and the driver. Eventually they overcame their fears and rolled along the bumpy road while Nona expressed her discomfort by buzzing her oil sensor. A brisk walk in the forest after the driver dropped off the Tutus led them to an inspirational lake by the name of Goodwin. Here they came across some local flavor and a kindred spirit. The storming 2-2 spirit walker was resting gracefully atop a rock and the Tutus were able to capture this beast in it's natural habitat by enticing it with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

After that they tried to enter through the gates into the alterworld. They made haste to avoid the rain/lightning storms quickly scrambling up the slopes of Goodwin Peak and Jackson Peak. The views from atop were astounding and they located the hobbit of the mountains at the summit. He was quite pleased to see them and joined them for the rest of the walk. The lightning had interference with the power supply to their camera not allowing them to take pictures the rest of the day. On the way down it was normal Wyoming behavior of hail mixed with rain. A bit of the Oregon influence took over with darkening skies and a constant drizzle. The driver was able to meet back up with them to escort them to the Whole Grocer where the Tutus met with their personal chef to plan a meal and help them decide on what goat cheese to purchase. Chevre trumped all and the peasants rejoiced. Until next time my friends...

  1. Could it be that the hobbit might also be enticed by pb&j? as well as the mysterious tutu covered local "creature"? Great guest entry!
